I am an artist who works in many mediums – from 2-dimesnional to 3-dimensional – and they all complement each other and reflect the many levels of storytelling I enjoy including in my abstract creations.
My works tell short stories about nature, everyday visual experiences, and memory through multiple approaches. Grids and organic circles are a common foundation. Natural fibers, torn paintings, and found objects insert themselves into some of my works, creating additional perspectives and layers to the tale.
My art also explores the boundaries of life – the ones found in mother nature, like a horizon line, those imposed upon us from society, and what we create for ourselves. I also honor the power of the hand and the associated flaws, imperfections, and textures.
